What’s New for 2012

Have lWoodturning workshops, courses, classes, lessons, instruction, from Mapleseed Galleryots of fun learning and developing wood turning skills. With a relaxed and informal setting, the Mapleseed Gallery Instructional Series is aimed at beginner and intermediate woodturners. With two-day or multi-evening programs, we will introduce you to the exciting world of wood turning.

With a separate lathe for each participant, the emphasis of these workshop courses will be on safety, building comfort & confidence, having fun, and learning/enhancing general woodturning techniques. Various turning skills will be discussed and practiced with each of these hands-on instructional classes culminating in the creation of a unique take-home project. Individual attention and hands on instruction are essential components of the lessons and class size is limited to 2 participants.Register early as class size is limited.   • Introduction to Bowl Turning
    Two day course. Participants will learn all about basic bowl turning and will make their own bowl take-home project. No prior woodturning experience required
  • Introduction to Pepper Mill Turning
    Two day course. Participants will learn all about basic pepper mill turning and will make their own mill take-home project. No prior woodturning experience required

We also have the following multi-project course available for slightly more experienced woodturners:

  • Wood Turning Projects
    Five week course (one evening per week). Participants will learn all about basic turning kit projects and will make four of their own special take-home projects. Some prior woodturning experience required (eg. Students should be able to turn basic beads and coves prior to taking this workshop)
